Southern Remedy Relatively Speaking | Agree to Disagree

Host: Dr. Susan Buttross, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and Abram Nanney

Topic: When someone that you love or admire brings up a topic on which the 2 of you strongly disagree, a visceral reaction can happen. Our heart rate goes up, we feel anxious and uncomfortable, and we may even have that rising feeling of fight or flight. discussions about hard topics like politics, religion, or social issues have destroyed friendships and eroded familial bonds. Talking about these things may feel like we are playing with fire and often we can get burned. Today, we will be talking about ways to agree to disagree and save our special friendships. It truly can happen!
